In victory, Redskins show guts, heart

Washington Redskins
In the Washington Redskins' 22-19 victory over archrival Dallas on Sunday, it was clear the 'Skins, who are now 3-5, weren't ready to lie down and call it a season. Entering FedEx Field at 2-5, there was plenty of reason to pack it in. A team constructed of lesser character and coaching would have done the same. Washington showed that it's...

I love the "IN GIBBS WE TRUST" tone of this article. Gibbs has never lost a team (perhaps the 1988 team, but that was more a case of Super Bowl hangover ala Pittsburgh 2006). Even the 2004 team won 3 of their last 4 and fought hard every game. Gibbs' teams always get better down the stretch and when you tune in to watch in December, every Fox production staff will show a graphic of Gibbs' remarkable December record. All of his rhetoric over the last two weeks- the whole "best thing about this abyssmal start is that we're all in it together"-isn't for the fans, it's for the players. This is why Gibbs' is a great coach. Not just X's and O's, but the motivational stuff. Today's bling-bling players will still believe in a 66 year old, geeky, Bible-readin' football coach. Amazing!

It was a good win, who doesn't love to see the Cowboys lose, that was great! The next eight games are a tough stretch, and December is just plain brutal, pulling of a miracle seems very doubtful. Dog Philly and Tampa to get to 5-5 and anything is possible.

All I know is that maybe the national media and the Washington Post have given up on the Skins but if you were at FedEx like myself you would know that the people there have not. The crowd was the loudest and craziest I have seen all year. It's going to be a complete stretch to go 7-1 but who knows the stars have finally started to align in the Redskins favor. Who says that it cant provide the spark that we have been looking for the past 8 games. The greatest challenge will be the next two games and if we can some how pull out two victories i would say that the Redskins would not only be in the play off hunt but in a good position to win it if they can some how get these next two road games.....~HAIL~
