Horrible move, Smith had good year and did nothing last year to help a poorus Saints defense. The Saints needed to do more in this years draft and free agency to help out the Secondary and Linebacking core. They did neither and will miss the playoffs again next season.

Once again the Saints didn't get the job done in the offseason. They signed Dan Morgan to fill the void at LB, but they ran into bad luck with Morgan retiring. Although they did get Jonathon Vilma through trade with the NY Jets. I think the Saints will win the NFC South because of really the lack of talent except for the Bucs and maybe Carolina.
