The countdown to 2011

Minnesota Vikings
It’s been a constant topic in Minnesota every spring and summer. As Vikings fans wait with bated breath for the arrival of training camp (still more than a month away), attention turns west, to the steel and concrete that’s twisting away in Los Angeles. Could this be the second Minnesota franchise to follow Manifest Destiny, a la the Lakers?...
What's the buzz about?

The NFL should create a new team if they want the NFL in L.A. so badly. There's no point in stealing a team from a city that has passionate fans. The sells outs are less because of places like Stub Hub and Ticketmaster, jacking up the prices to games. If you visit a teams website tickets go for 30-80 dollars, if you visit stub hub they go from $60-$5,000. The NFL needs to stop letting their tickets be sold to these scalpers. It's amazing that tickets for the average joe go on sale in July, but yet when July roles around, tickets are sold out.

There is need for any more California teams, they have the 49ers, Raiders, and Chargers. Cut the crap Hollywood, our blue collar cities won't let you buy our teams.

I don't see the Vikings moving, but it would be nice to see something get done on the stadium front. There had been rumors that Wilff wanted to redevelop the area around the Metrodome and build a news stadium on that site. Don't know how far that idea has advanced though.
