Whether it is Birk, Bentley or whoever else, the Vikings need to figure this out quickly. Stability on the offensive line is critical for each and every team in the NFL. It is even more critical for the Vikes, whose offensive success is predicated on the rushing of Adrian Peterson. A problem like this is not what Coach Brad Childress and his staff need going into training camp.

I agree, they need to figure this out and the sooner the better. Bentley could be really good again, but he could also prove to be fragile and get hurt again. Birk has at least been durable throughout his career, I think he's only missed significant time in one season of his career so far.

Bringing in Bentley would be a big mistake. There is no reason to take the risk. Sullivan was drafted this season for a reason. He will have a year to learn from Birk, then he will be expected to show he can be the starter. If Sullivan shows that kind of promise, then the Vikes are in a much better position. The can let Birk go if he wants more that the Vikes feel he is worth. If Sullivan can't cut it, then the Vikes can re-sign Birk or go after a younger FA.
