Vikings should stay far away from Favre

Minnesota Vikings
Conventional wisdom says the Minnesota Vikings are just a quarterback away from being a serious Super Bowl contender. That may explain why Vikings head coach Brad Childress and offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell were playing footsie with Brett Favre earlier this month. Problem is, Joe Buck's favorite quarterback isn't the answer. Luckily for...

With this impressive list out ranking jakson I could see why you wouldn't want Brett!

Are you crazy with Brett you win the North!
You are in the playoffs with the home field advantage #2 seed!

I agree, the Vikes should stay away from Favre. How were Favre's numbers before last year? Isn't he the all time leader in interceptions thrown? Didn't he throw the ugliest pick in OT againt the Giants last year? Plus, it's more than just numbers. Would you consider Favre a good team mate? The Viking team is young and on the rise, and adding a selfish player like Favre might not be the best addition regarding locker room chemistry.

Very good article.

It would just be something that I don't think anyone would really want to see. Both sides to this I think can work. If the Vikings got him I'm sure they're would be a ton of pressure on them to easily win the North and of course they would have to deal with the media circus. On the other hand though, I know Jackson is still developing and all but it's Brett Favre, they would most likely win the division with ease. But then again does Brett Favre really want to play for a division rival that he would bang heads agaisnt for 15 years? I don't think Brett is that kind of a guy and I don't think Thompson will release him, so if anything trade him and what's he going to ask for? If Jason Taylor was a second round and 5th or 6th, what's Brett Favre?
