Hall of Shame

Minnesota Vikings
It's pretty obvious that players like Cris Carter and Derrick Thomas are far more worthy of a spot in Canton than, say, Art Monk and Andre Tippett. That's why I couldn't care less about the Pro Football Hall of Fame. It's not about who deserves to go in; rather, it's all about egos and good old-fashioned reverence among the Hall's 44-person ...

Actually the reason Monk is in and Carter isn't is because Carter didn't lead the NFL in any major catagories. Monk retired as the all time leader. And also he helped his team to 3 Superbowl victories. All Carter did was run his mouth. He might have put up some nice numbers, but none that compaired him to Monk and what he did at that time.

I am a Viking fan, and do think Carter should be in the HOF...But Monk should too. He was the all time leader @ a time when teams were run 1st ask questions later, and maybe throw some in the process. Carter came into his own under Denny Greens air it out version of the west coast offense. I don't think it's fair to deny a true Hall of Famer his due because a Viking was snubbed in the process. Fran waited 3 yers? Monk waited 8, far to long for a deserving candidate. It's funny too, Art monk had his own display in there last time I went. his Jersey, and a paragraph or 2 about being one of the all time leader in receptions lol. I'm glad his bust can now join the other itmes that were already in there.
