While there are signs that the Vikings could be a real force to be reckoned with this year, keep in mind that they are an injury to Adrian Peterson from becoming an also ran.

Not too mention that with Brett Favre's recent history, a late in the game postseason INT away from grabbing the sides of their helmets in frustration.

Brett Favre will unquestionably be inducted into the Hall of Fame. However, (and in life, there's almost always a "however") will that induction be based on what he does in Minnesota? Doubt it. Is he an upgrade over TJack? Well, I'm old, fat, and bald and I have two bad knees and I might be an upgrade over Jackson. I'm not sure that Brett's much better than Sage at this point of his career. I can't help but believe that Favre's return has more to do with the size of the check than the love of the game. Can't say that I blame him much either. Not too many of those jobs in the paper. But $12 million for a 40 year old guy whose shoulder might have all the structural integrity of a $2 suitcase seems just a bit high. Time will tell and time is not on Brett's side.
