I just loved to watch Tarkenton play - he made defensive linemen look silly with his quick feet and scrambling ability. I never was a real Vikes fan but I always watched Tarkenton if I could - he was incredible.

I don't agree with your comment about Stu Voigt: "The most prolific tight end in team history". I think you ought to change that to read "The most prolific tight end on the Vikings in the 1970's". Clearly, Steve Jordan was the most prolific TE in team history.

Im from Winona MN. I was eight years old in '73. I watched every Vikings game as a kid. I saw Fran and the 'Purple People Eaters' in an exhibition game against the Cleveland Browns. I remember them winning...and tailgating with my Dad. Grant, Fran, Chuck, Ahmad, Sammy, Marshall, Page, Eller, Larson, Cox...etc. Thanks for all the great memories.
