Minnesota Vikings
At the onset of the season, nobody knew what to expect from the Minnesota Vikings. Aside from a brand new coaching staff, the team added plenty of new faces through free agency, and new schemes on offense and defense were being implemented. After opening the season with consecutive wins and building a 4-2 record heading into the bye week, it...

Well, Eric, I agree as far as "which Brad was responsible". And, yeah, wide receiver is the DEFINATE position that needs attention. Dropped balls costed at least 3 games. Johnsons' biggest problem was his inability to move around much. Now, what I do question about your comments, is why do you seem to have such an aversion to Brooks at starting Q/B? If he legitimately EARNS the starting spot in the off seson, what's the problem?

As far as the QB position is concerned...I feel if Brooks earns it he's the best man for the job. That won't happen though and Brad Johnso wasn't responsible for how bad the offense was although he isn't a playmaker. I really wish fellow Viking fans could understand that Minnesota had to take a step back. Under Tice Minnesota was always just an average team barely making the playoffs or just on the brink. Yeah that's nice and all but they never would have made it any further than the wild card game. When a coach comes in and totally remakes a teams philosphy there is bound to be some bumps in the road. I fully believe that Childress is on the right track. He is a smart guy who has been around the NFL for a very long time. Also the type of coach that will learn from his mistakes and correct them. Knowing football I knew this wasn't going to be a good season going in. I did know that it would be better in the long run for this franchise. Here are a few things that would be nice to see next year though. Calvin Johnson or Ted Ginn Jr drafted in the 1st rd. Sign OT Starks from the Steelers and CB Nate Clements from the Bills. Then draft a TE in the 2nd Rd and then get depth at DB. Adalius Thomas would be a nice fit for the Vikes as well.

The moment Brad Childress declared a quarterback battle between Bollinger and Jackson was the moment he should have been fired! This defense is ready now! They get two starters back next year in Greenway and James. Find out who is available as the off season goes on and then decide. Byron Leftwich would be nice and give us a chance to make some noise in the playoffs. Obviously, we go receiver at #7 pick.
