Minnesota Vikings
1:23 "Yeah, this is the head ball coach, so? Do you have a problem with that? Click clack." 1:26 The Vikes are on the clock. They took a quarterback last year and signed Chester Taylor, who actually lived next door to me at the University of Toledo (Go Rockets!), so they really don't have much room for Quinn or Peterson, do they? 1:27 Ah,...

Peterson was the most dynamic player on the draft board. It reminds me of the Randy Moss pick in 1998. Is Peterson a hammerhead too?

I don't get this blog but ok. Peterson and Calvin Johnson where the two players in this draft that could step on the field today and have an impact. The Vikings had a big time first day by picking up Rice and then the corner from Fresno...huge day for the Vikes.

Not much of a draft. They go for a player they don't need in the first round. Then they spend their other picks on second-rate WRs, a CB they don't need and a QB who is walk-on quality. The one place where they drafted what needed was in the 4th round (a DE).

Their needs in the offseason were:

1) Getting a pass rush
2) Getting WRs who can catch
3) Fixing the half of the offensive line thats broken
4) Getting a decent backup QB

They didn't fix any of the problems with free agents or the draft. Unless childress has some inside information about the NFL competition committee banning the forward pass, this is a team headed for the bottom.
