Minnesota Vikings
Most games are won or lost on a handful of plays. Sunday, there were three plays that ultimately led to the Minnesota Vikings' 13-10 defeat at the hands of the Kansas City Chiefs. The first was a blown call that was upheld after review; the second was an overthrown pass intended for receiver Robert Ferguson, who was wide open in the end zone;...

The Chiefs are one of the worst teams in the NFL. The problem isn't three blown plays, its the total lack of an offense. The difference this week vs. the past two was that the Chiefs were disciplined on offense and didn't allow the Viking defense to score a bunch of turnover points. The change at QB made no difference. Last year the passing was inconsistant. Now its real consistantly bad. Peterson looks better every week. He is leading the team in receptions and he is better receiver than anybody they have playing the position. The bad thing is that KC ends the easy part of the schedule and they could easily lose six straight games now to good teams.

It all starts with the two lines, on offense our line is truly offensive with soft tackles. Everyone will blame the QB but it was a team effort.

Well, so much for being optimistic about this season. While I'll still be riding the Viking bandwagon no matter what, I can see that this season is already in the tank. Losing to a team that can barely score in the 'teens? This was the type of game that Minnesota ALWAYS loses. Need a cure to your losing ways? Play the Vikes !! And, as usual, Brett Farve will be the latest NFL player who breaks a record against the Vikes. Images of Walter Payton running for 275 yds, Tony Dorsett running for 99 yds, and now Brett throwing TD pass #421 this week. Heck, he might also throw TD passes #422, #423, and #424. Always, always, ALWAYS the Vikings. How can these guys collect their paychecks and not feel guilty is beyond me. Can't complete any pass over 10 yards, can't put together a 8-9-10 play drive thats NOT scripted. Sad, totally and utterly sad. How is it that Jon Friggin' Kitna can throw for more yards in ONE GAME than the Vikings have totalled all SEASON so far??? Oh well, 1-7 after GB twice, Dallas, Philly, and SD should have Brad looking for his next NFL job. West Coast offense ?? Gimme a break !! Are Rich Kotite and Wayne Fontes available??
