The only reason washington was able to beat the Vikings is that the Vikings have no passing game at all. As the game went on, washington brought everybody up to the line daring them to throw even short passes and Tavaris couldn't do it. Give the Vikings a competent high percentage short passing game and they are the best team in the NFC. Give the Vikings Cleo Lemon or that guy playing for Washington or any half-decent QB in the NFL (even Joey Harrington) and they would have won at least 11 games this year.
