After Pro Bowl year, Hamlin is Cowboys’ franchise player

Commentary: The Cowboys got a very good year out of Hamlin, who played for $2.5 million last season. He tallied five interceptions and 14 passes defensed and was voted to the Pro Bowl for the first time. It was quite an improvement on his play in Seattle, where he was always out of position and tended to get more negative big plays than positive ones. He still plays borderline dirty -- a lot of nearly illegal hits -- and trash talks far too much. But, for a year anyway, it worked. And Dallas is betting $4.4 million that it works again.
Fantasy Football Impact: None.
